ON THE SPOT - "Heart and Soul" - Art and wine tasting exhibition

by Marcello Muiesan

This year art and wine will meet for another of our exclusive events organised in a premier location.

In Gauging Square (London E1W 2AA), very close to the renowned St Katharine Docks Marina, Wappart will host "Heart and Soul", Marcello's abstract paintings exhibition describing his journey through pain, strength and emotions during the pandemic.

The event will be accompanied by a small tasting from the four Italian regions that strongly link with the artist: Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Emilia Romagna and Toscana.

All the wine will be for sale and delivery after the event.

The paintings will be for sale, too and will remain on display at Unit 7 Counter House until the end of the year.

Artist biography:
Born in Italy in 1971, Marcello developed creative talents and an interest in art in general and cooking from an early age.

At 14, he enrolled in the artistic lyceum of Bologna without finishing the first year due to the umpteenth move of his mother.

Marcello's school life took other paths but returned to a creative environment when in 1997, he moved to London to take graphics courses at the Central Saint Martins.

Marcello started working as a freelance, and in 2003 he became co-owner of a web and graphic design agency.

Two years later, he leaves the company and dedicates himself to hospitality.

Become a sommelier, open his own wine import company, manage restaurants and wine bars and start working as a private chef where he can give vent his creativity.

Marcello's story as a painter recently begins to fill an emotional hole following the separation from his greatest love.

In his paintings, Marcello combines cooking techniques with painting techniques creating abstract paintings that mainly reflect his moods, emotions and feelings.

What drives Marcello to paint, like to cook, is passion, aesthetic taste, and the need to express his creativity.
