Grape: Sangiovese 90% Cabernet Sauvignon 10%.
ABV: 13.5%.
Yearly production: 3700 bottles.
Farming: Classic.
Colour: Incredibly intense ruby-red.
Aroma: Very complex with intense red berries fragrance where notes of cherry and plum stand out. Soft hints of spices, coffee, tobacco, and chocolate amplify the feelings.
Taste: Medium body, very persistent with sweet and soft tannins.
Behind the label: Arpagone's name refers to the main character of "the Miser" novel of Molière because when the vineyard was bought, it was arid and miser like him.
The Arpagone denomination is now Toscana I.G.T.. However, the 2015 Magnum is D.O.C.G. still.
