Colour: Incredibly intense ruby-red with garnet highlights.
Aroma: Appealing, rich and complex aroma with perceptible overtones of violets, small fruits, and spices on a lingering background of plum.
Taste: Medium body, dry, fresh, harmonious flavour with exceptionally soft tannins.
Behind the label: The name derives from the discovery of a document dated 1028 outlining the details of the will of deacon Gerardo relating to the lands of Fornello.
